PRG full-service provider for the 5th time at the German Sustainability Award ceremony
For the fifth time in a row, PRG was also involved, providing the "complete service portfolio" for the entire event.
For two days, Messhalle 8 at Koelnmesse turned magenta as Deutsche Telekom played host to "Digital X", Europe's leading digital trade fair. Around 20,000 participants heard from more than 160 top speakers who discussed a wide variety of current digital topics, and 200 companies presented matching technologies and services.
PRG was also present at "Digital X" with the latest technology. The event service provider delivered a 360-degree service with the trades rigging, video technology, lighting technology and audio technology. In total, more than 300 tons of event technology were installed. Due to this large amount of technology and the different exhibition areas, up to 100 event technicians were on duty at peak times. PRG equipped five stages and was responsible for the technical implementation.
The video technology was the main focus, as more than 300 different displays had to be installed in addition to various LED walls. Due to the complexity of the video implementation, the team and the customer decided to form a task force that took care of the logistics and the installation of the displays and provided the customer with know-how. A central speaker management ensured that all five stages were centrally supplied with the desired content.
"Inspiration Stage"
The largest stage at Digital X, the "Inspiration Stage", was designed for 3,000 visitors. Keynote speakers such as Timotheus Höttges, CEO of "Deutsche Telekom," and Sir Richard Branson appeared there and presented new digital content to the audience. The recorded video area had a size of approx. 50 x 9 meters and consisted of three LED walls with a total of 348 ROE modules. It also featured ten HDF-W30 FLEX projectors, four Full HD live camera trains and a Ross Carbonite live mixer. There was also a graphics control room with three Barco E2 video processors and a watchout system with six servers.
"Interactive Stage."
The "Interactive Stage" featured a 72-square-meter, high-definition LED wall encompassed by the "Revolution Blades." The wall itself consisted of 266 x ROE Black Onyx 2 Blackface LED modules.
"Future Stage"
The "Future Stage" could be covered 360°. There, the crew used four LCD 98" UHD displays (MultiSync X981UHD black, NEC).
"Telekom booth"
At the central "Telekom booth", the crew installed six double-sided playable LED steles with high-resolution LED, also made of ROE Black Onyx 2 Blackface LED modules. These steles were designed and manufactured by PRG. Above the booth was an LED ellipse made of ROE Carbon CB5 Blackface modules. The pinpoint installation of this ellipse was one of the bigger challenges at this event, but the team managed it very well.
"Disruption Stage"
The "Disruption Stage" also featured a very creative set design: This area was modeled on a sports hall, where the speakers acted centrally, within the audience. It featured two high-resolution LED walls and four coarse resolution banners.
In addition to the complex video technology that we installed here, the complete lighting technology and the lighting concept also came from PRG. The event service provider also supplied the audio technology and created the concept for the "silent sound system", which involved transmitting the speakers' signal to the audience via headphones.
PRG Senior Account Manager Michael Ebinger gave a positive feedback after the first day of the event: "The technology runs smoothly, so I am very satisfied, and I think the customer can also be very satisfied".
We would like to thank everyone involved for this great project and the flawless cooperation!
