Risk assessment
PRG has a standard risk assessment, this already contains these standard risk factors. This basic instruction provided by PRG is adapted to the respective production-specific hazards before each production. All potential hazards and risks of the working environment are identified, evaluated and suitable measures and working methods are derived on the basis of this.
A list of all significant hazard factors is provided by the German Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA).
Instruction
Before the start of production, employees are informed about the hazards identified in the risk assessment and about appropriate protective measures.
Personal protective equipment (PPE)
To protect against injury, PRG provides employees with personal protective equipment (PPE).
Personal protective equipment is defined as protective equipment that protects only one person. Based on our operations and organizational structure, we also distinguish between personal and non-personal PPE. Person-bound PPE may not be passed on, while non-person-bound PPE can be used and passed on by several people.
At PRG, personal PPE consists of the following parts:
- Helmet according to EN 397
- Fall arrest system (PSAgA) for use in ascenders and other work equipment
- S3 work shoes
Non-personal PPE includes, for example, hearing protection (over ear), gloves, high-visibility vests.
Depending on the results of the risk assessment, further PPE is provided as required (e.g. weather protection, cold protection, UV protection).
The use of PPE depends on the respective production phases and conditions on site. During assembly and disassembly, S3 work shoes, helmet and high-visibility vest must always be worn. The use of the helmet and high-visibility vest can be deviated from depending on the situation on site and is dependent on the respective hazard situation. This will be communicated to the employees on site.
