The ethical sides of sustainability

Ethical sustainability is an integral part of a company's sustainability efforts that cannot be ignored. This relates in particular to the goal of the well-being and safety of individuals. Among them the colleagues working in the team.

PRG stands against discrimination on the basis of ethical and national origin, gender, religion, ideology, age, sexual orientation, skin color, political affiliation, or social background.

Ethical principles of the PRG Group

Integrity is an important part of business relationships.

The ethical principles stated below are intended to establish rules of conduct for all business activities of the PRG Group and guidelines for our daily work.

These rules of conduct apply to all employees of the PRG Group as well as to our freelancers, business partners, consultants and subcontractors. It is the responsibility of everyone to comply with these principles and to act in accordance with them.

1. integrity of services

All PRG Group technical services shall be performed in a professional and independent manner with due care and in full compliance with relevant laws, ordinances and regulations. Basic human rights and safety requirements shall be upheld without compromise. Under no circumstances do we yield to pressure from clients to obtain favorable treatment in another area.

2. confidentiality

Each employee is required to handle confidential information responsibly in order to protect the rights of our customers, partners and employees or our own business interests. This includes all information that is not available to the general public and where there is an interest in keeping it confidential, such as:

Confidential information may not be disclosed to other persons and may not be used for personal gain.

All internal processes and information concerning our customers or their events are treated with the highest degree of discretion and confidentiality. Order-related data will not be disclosed to third parties under any circumstances.

3. compliance with laws

PRG Group is an international company and equips events all over the world. We are committed to performing these services in full compliance with the relevant laws, ordinances and regulations that apply in these countries.

Each employee is responsible for ensuring such compliance and for securing any legal assistance that may be required.

4. conflicts of interest

Conflicts of interest are to be avoided as a matter of principle.
A conflict of interest exists when the interests of the PRG Group diverge from the personal interests of the employee, his or her close relatives or persons with whom the employee has close personal or business contact.
The following examples of conflict of interest situations must be avoided:

5. procurement

Procurement of goods and services shall be done in a reasonable manner and transparently to ensure the best quality and price. It is not permitted to award contracts on the basis of personal preference.

6. personnel

PRG Group is committed to providing a workplace in a safe and healthy environment for all of its employees. Discrimination or harassment based on race, sex, national origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age will not be tolerated.

All employees are expected to treat their colleagues with respect.

PRG Group respects and promotes the right of its employees to form employee representative associations. Representatives and organizers of such associations shall not be discriminated against, intimidated or pressured in any way. We strive to engage in an active and cooperative exchange with employees and their representatives.

PRG Group strictly rejects child labor, i.e. activities performed by persons under the age of 15, and will neither use nor support such services.

Likewise, the PRG Group will not make use of forced labor. Forced labor is defined as any form of work or service that is required of a person under threat of punishment or for which the person has not volunteered.

7. health and occupational safety

For the PRG Group, the health and safety of its employees is one of the highest priorities. Active health management and occupational safety measures and actions are designed to ensure this. Employees are expected to actively participate in occupational safety and health programs.

8 Sustainability and environmental protection

The PRG Group and its employees are committed to using resources and pollutants responsibly, and thus to preventing damage to or negative impact on the environment to the best of their ability and to complying with all laws in this regard. In the short term, we will take a further step towards securing a sustainable future within the framework of an environmental audit.

9. unfair advantages

Unfair advantages, whether direct or indirect, may neither be granted nor accepted. Unfair advantages are advantages that are granted in order to influence corporate policy decisions. These may consist of bribes, gifts, excessive hospitality or kickbacks.

Unfair advantages are often granted by agents, business intermediaries, consultants or suppliers. It is therefore necessary to examine whether there are reasons to believe that they practice granting unfair advantages. Furthermore, in order to prevent the misuse of funds, all payments for goods and services must be made to the person who supplied them. Permission must be obtained for the remuneration of agents, business intermediaries and consultants.

Gifts, hospitality and entertainment must always be related to a genuine business purpose, must not be intended to influence a decision or action, and must be kept within socially acceptable and legally permissible limits.

For charitable donations or support of events in the form of sponsorship, prior authorization must be obtained.
In certain countries, it is customary to make small payments to officials for certain operations - such as loading and unloading or the like. The purpose is to speed up the routine service to which one is entitled anyway. Such facilitation payments are to be kept to a minimum and avoided wherever possible. They may only be made if there is a clear entitlement to the action to be taken and must be adequately documented.

10. Fair Competition

PRG conducts fair competition within the framework of applicable competition law.

We do not engage in price-fixing or market-sharing arrangements with competitors. We do not exchange competitive information.
We frame our marketing, including references to our competitors or their services or to third parties, in a manner that is sincere and neither deceptive nor misleading or likely to be perceived as misleading. We present ourselves in an appropriate manner and ensure that information presented, including descriptions of our network and business connections, resources used and services provided, is accurate

11. Implementation

The management of the PRG Group will actively accompany, support and monitor the implementation of the principles. Actions by employees and suppliers that do not comply with these principles will be followed up immediately and corrected and resolved in a joint discussion.
