PRG DELIVERS AUDIO EXCELLENCE AS PILOT PARTNER FOR L-ACOUSTICS INNOVATIVE NEW L SERIES
The L Series Deal is Part of PRG’s Continued Commitment to Best-in-Class Audio Investments
As Tokio Hotel’s European tour comes to a close, we look back on an unforgettable live experience for thousands of fans – an experience PRG was proud to support as technical partner. We joined the show at Hamburg’s Inselpark Arena and got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look alongside the experts.
Innovative Lighting Design with ROXX® NEO FX
The creative lighting and stage design for the tour was masterminded by top lighting designer Bertil Mark, who used a sophisticated concept of mirrors, LED walls, and strategically placed lighting effects to deliver striking visual impressions.
At the heart of the design were the versatile ROXX® NEO FX fixtures, used as background lighting, effect lights, and front light sources. During the atmospheric show opener, they created a dramatic interplay of light and shadow. Tom Groß (Lighting Director / Programmer), who was on the road on behalf of Bertil Mark and responsible for on-site execution, enthused:
“I've been wishing for years for an LED floodlight you can simply hang from the ceiling, that can tilt, zoom – and has full pixel control. That’s exactly what the ROXX NEO FX does. I absolutely love it.”
Thanks to the use of full-pixel mode and integration via NDI, even video content could be streamed directly to the fixtures – a true highlight.

L-Acoustics K2 System: Flexibility Meets Sound Quality
When it came to audio, PRG left nothing to chance. A comprehensive sound system from L-Acoustics was installed for the tour, as Martin Heinemann, Head of Audio at PRG Germany, explains:
“Given the varying venue sizes, we chose the versatile K2 system. It can be flexibly adapted to suit different conditions. We used 24 K2 elements (12 per side), 28 subwoofers in a cardioid 2:1 configuration, various A15s for infill, and a variable outfill setup.”
Sönke Marquardt (Sound System Engineer + PA Tech), who managed the system in Hamburg, adds: “The K2 system is incredibly scalable – from medium-sized venues to audiences of up to 4,500. With the band’s great musical skills, FOH engineer Mario Simic, and me as System Engineer, we formed a team that delivered top-tier sound.”
A Strong Partner for Touring and Events in Germany
The use of premium L-Acoustics systems is part of a broader strategic move by PRG: In recent years, the company has made major investments in cutting-edge audio equipment to offer top-level sound reinforcement to its clients across Europe – and especially in Germany.
Martin Heinemann adds: “After outfitting the Soundstorm Festival, with over 250,000 attendees annually, with a large-scale L-Acoustics system for several years, it was a logical step for us to bring this level of quality to the German market. Our clients benefit from excellent sound quality, high scalability, and a seasoned team that knows how to deliver great audio in both large and small venues.”
We extend our sincere thanks to Tokio Hotel, the entire production team, as well as Bertil Mark and Tom Groß for their trust and fantastic collaboration on this tour.
