Types of Fiber Optics

Let’s talk about Fiber Optic cables, their standard uses and the quick and hopefully not dirty pros and cons. For PRG, there are a few main standard usages of Fiber Optics including; the transmission of ethernet, lighting, and control data over distances longer than 100’, eliminating the risk of electromagnetic interference from high voltage power runs, and the ability to reach bandwidths of 40GbE.
