PRG provided cameras for Miley Cyrus’s “Stand By You” a Pride Concert Special, exclusively for Peacock. The one-hour special, filmed in Nashville, will feature Cyrus singing her hits and putting a creative spin on beloved classics, all in the spirit of Pride.
The camera order from PRG included Sony F55 Digital Cinema cameras and PRG’s proprietary 35LIVE!® 35mm multi-camera workflow, which combines the power and immediacy of live broadcast with the look and feel of cinema. In this deployment, cinema cameras with fiber backing were tied to a broadcast truck.
35LIVE!® re-defines the traditional multi-camera approach, with digital 35mm cameras and lenses. Either modular flypack systems, or in this case, full truck capabilities are used on productions of any scale. The system is compatible with any camera and serves as a valuable tool for repurposing original content for television, streaming, theatres, or DVD/Blu-ray.
Cyrus has been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ community, notably with the founding of her non-profit organization, The Happy Hippie Foundation, which has supported homeless and LGBTQ youth across the country.
“We’re proud to bring our 35LIVE!® technology in support of a great talent and outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. We at PRG celebrate Pride month along with her, NBCU and Peacock,” said Jere Harris, Chairman & CEO.
The special is available to stream on Peacock starting June 25.
