Janet Jackson ‘Together Again’ Tour
PRG provided full 360 equipment and services including lighting, video, automation, rigging, scenic and audio.
JVKE wrapped his very first tour early this month, with PRG supporting lighting, audio and video for the run of summer shows. The singer rose to fame on TikTok by sharing videos of his performances from his bedroom, delivering a mix of covers and original songs. He is known for spreading positivity with his daily posts, and additionally uses his social platforms to discuss the challenges and rewards of being an independent artist. Because he’s doing it all without a label, it was important for JVKE to partner with the right production team and vendors who could get him set up for his first tour.
PRG’s artist development team was enlisted to provide lighting, audio and video services for the North American run. PRG Account Executive Grace Hutson handled the job, recommending Ethan West, an LED tech from Wasted Potential, to join the month-long tour.
Because JVKE’s tour took him to a variety of different venue sizes, his touring rig was set up with three different height configurations to always give the audience the best possible view while also fitting into respective venues. The concert revolved around JVKE's emotional journey through young adulthood. The initial act depicted his experience of falling in love, featuring songs like "this is what falling in love feels like." Transitioning to the second act, he revealed the challenges of relationships with songs like "i'm not okay." The final act showcased his journey through heartbreak and self-discovery, highlighting both the experience of falling out of love and finding independence. For this story arc, his creative team and lighting designer Mike Pascucci created an intimate bedroom stage setup complete with a ROE CB5 LED wall for scenery, a bed, and a desk area, all flanked by VL2600s, JDC-1s, Mac Auras and Bar 20s. Production Manager Aaron Brooks, who wore many hats on the tour including Tour Manager and Stage Manager, says that the best part of working with PRG is the people. “With all the challenges presented to us in building our artist’s first tour, Grace and her staff were with us every step of the way, providing the highest level of professionalism, customer service, support, and more importantly, demonstrating genuine enthusiasm, love and proactiveness in making our show the best it could be given our budget, timing and scale,” he said. “Grace and PRG are my first call if I need a top tier production floor package that will take my artist and tour to the next level.”
