PRG Supported NOFX's Final Tour and Punk in Drublic Festival with L-Acoustics Partnership

As one of the most iconic punk rock bands of all time, NOFX put on their final performances ever during the Punk in Drublic Festival, marking a historic moment for both the band and the genre. Held in San Pedro, CA on October 4th, 5th, and 6th, the festival was a significant milestone in NOFX's career, and PRG was proud to provide world-class L-Acoustics audio solutions to help bring these final shows to life.

Andy Alonso, Audio Technician at PRG, had been working closely with NOFX for the past two years, providing audio and monitor support for the band. “I grew up a punk rock kid. I was 15 years old when I first saw NOFX live at Warped Tour 2002, so this project really meant a lot to me,” Andy shared. His personal connection with NOFX led to PRG becoming involved in the band's audio needs, which then expanded into a full-scale partnership.

For the Punk in Drublic Festival and NOFX's final shows, PRG provided a complete 360-degree production package, including audio, LED, and lighting. PRG’s role in the festival reflected PRG’s comprehensive production capabilities, ensuring that every aspect of the event ran seamlessly.

A standout element of this tour was PRG's collaboration with L-Acoustics, a leader in audio technology. Andy explained how an L-Acoustics PA was specifically requested by NOFX Manager and FOH engineer Kent Jamieson. PRG had also recently deepened its relationship with L-Acoustics by training several technicians to become certified teaching professionals, so the collaboration was natural. “We’ve developed a partnership with L-Acoustics where we’ve sent three of our employees to train with them, and now they’re certified to teach others,” Andy said. Trained technicians Dillon Tostado and Jason Swartz were part of the team working on the Punk in Drublic shows, overseeing the L-Acoustics audio systems to guarantee the best possible sound experience.

PRG provided an L-Acoustics K1/K2 System with Kara II Side hangs and KS28 subs driven over AVB via L’Acoustics P1 Processors to deliver exceptional sound across the festival and tour. This partnership not only strengthened our relationship with L-Acoustics but also highlighted our ability to deliver world-class audio solutions for live events globally.

Reflecting on the past year, PRG has been proud to support numerous tours and festivals, including Punk in Drublic, by providing cutting-edge audio technology and expert production support. Andy notes, “This partnership allows us to create a stronger relationship with L-Acoustics and supply more of their gear, giving us more opportunities to showcase their equipment.”

PRG’s involvement in NOFX's Final Tour was a special chapter in our touring work in 2024. We are excited to continue providing innovative audio solutions and supporting live events with the latest technology as we look ahead to future projects and partnerships.
